Description

Another Life Drawing session with :iconjohnsonverse: at Film Roman Animation Studios.

This time we were doing 2 and 5 minute sketches of Erl Van Aken [link]

This is one interesting old time bad ass! Tattoos everywhere [ and I mean everywhere, you'll know what I mean if you check out his website - view at your own risk! ], not to mention an assortment of piercings. Of course, with only 2 to 5 minutes per sketch I couldn't really go into any sort of detail.

Sessions like this are good practice for quickly laying down forms and shapes. It really builds your confidence up. I highly recommend it to artists of any and every skill level.

DISCLAIMER: I decided not to put a Mature Label on this submission because nothing is truly "drawn in", so to speak. If you're an artist, you better get familiar with the human form and comfortable with it. If it offends you... Lemme know and I guess I'll change the Content Label.

Well the human form's the best way to go. Artist need to learn the basic rhythm of the form to keep it natural. I use to take anatomy classes at Mt. Sac in Walnut that was fun. But now I don't have the time but I still put lead to paper sometimes. Imagination has no age limits, that's what I say.. Hope to see more of your work. Thanks for shareing..
