Irredeemable Cover Survivor by urban-barbarian Irredeemable Cover Survivor by urban-barbarian
Never say never, right? I thought I was through with the Irredeemable covers but Editor Supremo, Matt Gagnon, requested a cool Propaganda Style cover for the next issue and I had a few ideas!

I loved my first idea but for some reason I decided to go in a different direction. I penciled, inked and colored it up and then took a long hard look at it. It was fine I suppose but it wasn't anything spectacular. So I decided to go with my first idea and I'm glad I did.

It's funny because I used to scratch my head when I would see nearly finished pages by artists like John Buscema and others that were never used. I've done it a few times now and I finally get it. Sometimes it's just not right and in the end - it's what makes you happy. Ideally you're not illustrating comic books if you're not a fan in the first place and in love with the medium.

Cheers!
