In an effort to keep Louise Simonson's story line leak free, I decided to start posting panels instead of pages so I wouldn't give away any important story elements.

Having fun with Scott and Jean. I really want to create that bond that makes them a couple fans care about. Louise does an excellent job of mixing relationships with a constant barrage of action. There's non stop mayhem from issue #2 on. And even issue #1 has tons going on. Not too mention, a killer back up story featuring the origin of Apocalypse.

This is just a bunch of panels thrown together so you can get a sneak peek at what's in store for you!

I think it's going to be an interesting series for old and new fans. At least I hope so. If not, I'll buy a hat and eat it. Or something like that.

I love this page so much its so cool ..In my opinion more comics should be in black in white ..I just recently looked at your entire gallery and had to say your inspirational (again) ....I really love your take on the x men character especially Iceman and cyclops I'd look at them and say yup their so cool ...do you ink traditionally or using a tablet?also do you have other great books I might be able to learn from...

Wow these pages are great. I picked up the first issue before heading out to Japan and really enjoyed it. Now seeing the black and white pages I am even more impressed. To be honest I think that the color takes a little away from these. Is the tone work digital or traditional?

Man, I really appreciate that. The tone work is done digitally. I miss the old LetraSet patterns but digital is just too easy! I'm glad you dug them!

ahh photoshop toning scares me..I am a huge fan of toning old school still and here in Japan the stuff is still widely available it's messy sticky..LOL. I tried the computone stuff but just couldn't get it down the way I could by hand. I think it is a tactile thing to be honest..I feel really accomplished when I am covered in ink and tiny tone shards. You should see the selections here at the art stores. Literally isles of various tones, really great stuff.

Wow! I miss it too. When I apply Digital Zip I make sure that I use sizes that reflect the hand made acetones. Ah, memories...

Very cool. Has a sort of Frank Miller/Denys Cowan meets Dan Panosian feel to the line work. Me like.
