Liam Sharp's Art Book!

Mon Sep 27, 2010, 6:02 PM

I really appreciated the support with the art book.  Liam and I have talked and he's changing the name.  His friend and mentor [ and plenty of others ] call him Urban Barbarian and so there's a very personal connection he has with the name.  He's also a big Frazetta fan.  At any rate, the man's a first class gentleman and a terrific artist.  I'm looking forward to getting my hands on a copy of it soon.  The cover alone looks awesome.

Anyway, blah, blah, blah...  I'm happy that mess is over and I feel lucky that you guys took the time to listen to me vent.  On one side the whole thing is silly but on the other end, I am very personally connected to the name.  My father and I had a very mixed relationship but one of the few things we bonded on was Frazetta and Conan.  It's close to my heart in a very special way.  Thanks you guys.   And, if you're not following :iconliamsharp: you should check out his work.  Both of us have very similar tastes.  I guess that's fairly obvious now...

Also, you can check out his entire book and order it by clicking this . I've already ordered one for myself.

  • Mood: Llama
  • Listening to: Alt Nation
  • Reading: Conan [ seriously ]
  • Watching: Rubicon
  • Eating: Healthy
  • Drinking: Protein Shakes! Yum!

Glad to know you guys worked it out, Dan.
So many of us get all warm and fuzzy inside when we contemplate the figure of a godless muscle-bound wanderer slicing body parts right and left, flanked by an impossible clean, scantly clad beauty with perfect make-up, both of them perched atop a hill made up of the sad remains of all who dared challenge the Hyperborean Hero...
And if done by Frazzeta, Sharp of Panosian, so much the better.
You guys rule! I love happy endings.
Very cool for both barbarians!
and here I was hoping for an epic barbarian brawl :) glad you sorted it, you are both artists and good folks.
It's nice for a change. It's a big sigh of relief!
